List of creatures with banding (and other banding related cards) in Magic the Gathering
Description:
A list of creatures with the banding ability and other cards that reference banding (with scanned images of the cards), from the trading card game Magic the Gathering. Banding is also known as bands. Banding was a creature ability that was used in Magic the Gathering editions from the 1990s (but rarely used after the 1990s).
It is an unusual ability, in that it has two functions; one for attacking, and one for defence.
Banding for attacking:
A group of creatures with banding (and up to one creature without banding) can band together for an attack. This band is treated as a single creature for the purpose of blocking. Although using this ability makes it easier for the opponent to block the creatures, it makes it harder for those blocking creatures to survive.
Banding for defence:
If a group of creatures block an attacking creature, and at least one of those blocking creatures has banding, the defending player gets to choose how the attacking creature’s damage is distributed to the blocking creatures. |
