Shogun Assassin is a re-edited film made up of footage taken from the first two Lone Wolf and Cub movies (12 minutes of Sword of Vengeance, and most of Baby Cart at the River Styx).
Summer Vacation 1999 (1999 - Nen no natsu yasumi) was based on the manga Thomas no Shinzo (The Heart of Thomas) by Moto Hagio. The story is about three boys who spend their summer vacation at the boarding school they go to, because they don't have families to return to.
Peacock King (also known as Kujaku o, or Spirit Warrior) is about two magically powerful monks who try preventing the gates of hell from being unlocked. It is based on a manga of the same name. There were also some anime and video games based on the manga. Two of the video games, were released for Western market as SpellCaster (a Sega Master System game) and Mystic Defender (for Sega Mega Drive / Genesis).
